Fashion Post: Sleeping In

Happy Saturday! I don’t usually post on the weekends, but I was home before dark yesterday and James took these pictures of me standing next to a neighbor’s home. I feel like if I don’t post them now, they’ll lose their timeliness and I won’t even know what to say about them. I don’t actually know what to say about them right now, other than I’m really happy that tight buns are back in style (I lived for smooth, tight buns in middle school) and I’m also happy that structured leggings, a sweatshirt and red lipstick constitute as business casual at my job. I’ve worn some variation of this outfit everyday since October. This coat was a gift from Santamom and I’ll probably never wear a coat that doesn’t cover my butt in the winter again. Did you know it’s an average of 18º most mornings in New England? My ankles on the other hand? Frostbitten.

About my hair: because I prefer to get 12 hours of sleep each night, I spent a good six months attempting the “sock bun” so I could roll out of bed and go. I failed every time. On my head at the moment is a pony tail, a sock at the base of the pony tail, and anywhere from 5 to 86 bobbypins securing the hair around the sock. Same voluminous outcome, but works for people with layers. Tell me other secrets that will allow me to sleep in…
