Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients:

large bunch of fresh asparagus

8-10 strips of bacon

cooking oil

salt

pepper

Directions:

Wash the asparagus and place on a cutting board. Cut about half an inch off the ends and place the freshly washed and cut spears into a large bowl. The bowl should be large enough so that the asparagus aren’t poking out of the sides. Coat the asparagus in oil, salt and pepper.

Divide the asparagus spears by the number of bacon strips you have. We had 9 bacon strips and 25-30 asparagus. So we wrapped about 3 asparagus spears per strip of bacon.

Place the bundles of asparabacon on the grill and turn frequently until the bacon is at your desired level of cripiness. We like both our bacon and our aspargus on the crispy side!

Awesome job on this one! I just made your recipe on my George Foreman Grill. You just got my whole family (including 3 picky kids) to eat asparagus. Whoo Hoo! I’m just hunting for ways to make veggies taste good. Thanks for sharing!

Pamela, I’m so glad you and your family liked it! I hear from so many people that the “picky” eaters in their lives, (mainly those who hate vegetables), love this recipe!! Enjoy, Xo Jenna

I’ve made these, and they are so yummy!!! Only I take 1 asparagus spear to 1 slice of bacon. If it’s too cold outside to grill, I put mine under the broiler for about 5-7 min on each side. I just made somet the other night, and they were so good!!! I’m craving them again already!

Mmm, so awesome! I think the one to one ratio is a great idea, I think we only did it this way so we could use more asparagus. I’m happy you enjoyed them!

Our family made this and it was a hit! We really like asparagus and this was a great way to “beef” it up a little. Thanks for sharing.
